Stored Product Pests

Stored product pests are a major headache for the food processing industry. An effective stored product pest program goes beyond trapping specimens and routine fogging. A well designed pheromone monitoring program is key to managing and preventing product loss. Advanced IPM closely tracks concentrations to isolate and reduce spread. Additionally, Advanced IPM implements other non-chemical effective technologies, such as pheromone monitoring stations as well as mating disrupters.

The Advanced Care program will include the use of Mating Disrupters. This system works by confusing the moths and sending them into a state of confusion. In this confused state the male moth cannot locate the female for mating. This disruption reduces or eliminates larvae populations.
